Parksville Fire Department Hosts Car Wash for BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund – Parksville Qualicum Beach News

If you want to make your car shine and shine, but aren’t crazy about doing it yourself, the Parksville Fire Department can lend a hand…and it’s all for charity.

With sponges in hand, the Parksville Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a charity car wash, rain or shine, in support of the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund.

In exchange for a donation, firefighters will wash vehicles between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at the Parksville Fire Station (160 Jensen Ave.).

Firefighters will volunteer their time to see how many cars, motorcycles or scooters (the dirtier the better) they can wash for this great cause.

No vehicle? The public is invited to come near the fire station and attend the party.

Visitors to the car wash will remain in their vehicles for safety reasons. In addition to washing cars in exchange for a donation, crews will be on hand to discuss being a paid, on-call firefighter with the Parksville Volunteer Fire Department.

The BC Professional Fire Fighters Burn Fund provides vital, supportive and life-enriching services to the people of British Columbia. Further information on the burn fund is available at
