Himachal CM Announces 17 Firefighting Vehicles | Odisha News | Latest news from Odisha

Shimla: Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today reported 17 firefighting vehicles from the fire department to fire stations and fire sub-stations located in different parts of the state.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that these vehicles would be provided to Fire Stations, Kinnaur, Mall Road Shimla, Poanta Sahib, Bilaspur, Kullu, Baddi, Parwanoo, Nalagarh, at Una and Chamba, Jhanduta and Gohar fire sub-stations and fire stations. Jubbal, Patlikuhal, Sansarpur Terrace, Padhar and Jogindernagar.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the state government spent an amount of Rs. 21.26 crore for the procurement of fire fighting vehicles and other equipment and Rs. 17.46 crore for the construction of various fire department buildings over the past three years. He said it would provide better firefighting services, especially in rural areas of the state.

Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Additional Chief Secretary JC Sharma, Home Special Secretary Rakesh Sharma, Director of Fire Service Department SP Singh, Deputy Commanding General of Home Guards and Civil Defense Anuj Tomar and other senior officers were present on occasion.
