Damen Delivers World’s First Electric Fire Fighting Boats

The world’s first all-electric tugboat was launched in Turkey in September 2020, although the first ordered took place in 2019 in New Zealand. Electric waste collection barges help clean up Venice’s canals in several ways, and in London, hybrid pilot boats now escort large ships along one of the world’s most delicate waterways – the Thames of Gravesend at Tower Bridge.
